Towards the end of the interview David says:

The truth is penetrating mainstream consciousness and, in the US, states such as South Dakota and Tennessee have seen legislators seeking to make changes to the Universal Commercial Code (UCC) to start to unravel the legal web that has been created to steal everyone’s assets.

This conversation exposes the complexity and scale of the task to create alternative exchange money infrastructure.
Open source is undoubtedly part of the future but exchange media are not. Open source technology didn’t just create alternatives to proprietary solutions; it created a panoply of tools to facilitate new ways of working and organising.
In combination, these tools are taking us on the road to human value driven organisation which is a far bigger prize than enabling a minority to live freely outside the fiat money system. Those that struggle to survive today would still struggle under an alternative exchange system. If you suffer a lack of money/resources today, an alternative means of exchange isn’t going to change that.

The Money Paradox starts with an abstract:

The Great Taking is an inevitable destination for exchange money; it is the coup de grâce of a process that repeals and repeats ever since money was adopted. Substituting one type of exchange money for another isn’t going halt the psychopathic nature of our governing institutions; they are the way they are because we adopted money when there were no tools available to scale protosustainability methodology.
By reaching for the greater prize, we not only insulate ourselves from the great taking but are laying foundations for human sustainability. Currently, only the very few sustain themselves unconditionally. Protosustainability ensures unconditional access to the means to life for all.
