Power Corrupts Us All

Faiza at Hidayat TV asked me to explain power in the following video:

What is Power and How is it Abused and Corrupted? – the dark side of power and its influence on/control of the levers of power?

What is the objective of this power?

What is the alternative to this power structure and why would it be better?

Ten years ago, we produced a report following a Critical Thinking workshop held at the London School of Economics which revealed the concentration of power. Concentrated Power and Consequences – Report, Critical Thinking workshop on Tuesday 28th October 2014 at the LSE Student Union. Subsequent work revealed the mechanics of how power is concentrated and three fundamental flaws in the global political economy. Critical Thinking’s final analysis was published in October 2019.

Since then, we’ve continued our work on how we organise ourselves and have described the alternative to the current command and control structure underpinned by simple exchange money.

Distributed autonomous interdependent self-organisation (DAISO) is how our condition (as human cattle) is revealed and is the key to how organise ourselves in the future. We refer to the new organisational paradigm which is emerging to displace the current structure. We’ve referred to DAISO in various articles and papers. However, we are aware that we need to define and explain more clearly how this may work in both principle and practice. This is work-in-progress.
